Root-wrapped Rock

Root-wrapped Rock

Trees in Stone of Tree-enclosed Rock is a peculiar sight in the rainforest. The strong banyan roots encircle the huge stone upright and powerfully to make bottom of the stone suspended in the air, then the roots insert underground to form a grand view. According to the legend, when Sakyamuni traveled to Moli, he followed Zhaduo streams upward with the Buddhist cane in hand and a huge stone came in his sight all of a sudden. So Sakyamuni sat cross-legged for meditation, murmuring with his eyes closed and palms put together. Then the cane made out a huge banyan magically which grows on the huge rock. With the passage of time, the roots crossed like a web and became a view named “Tree-enclosed Rock”.
