Detailed Description
The genus Babalus belongs to the family Moraceae. It is a large tree, reaching a height of about 40 meters and a diameter at breast height of about 1.8 meters. The trunk is round, smooth, and straight, with an umbrella-shaped crown. The branches are quadrangular and drooping, with opposite lateral branches. The simple leaves are opposite, large, ovate, with very short petioles. The terminal inflorescence is a panicle, with white flowers. The capsule fruit is flattened and spherical, slightly ridged, with tiny seeds. The Mori Babalus King, with a diameter at breast height of 6 meters, is the largest Babalus in the region and is called the Babalus King.
