Detailed Description

The genus Babbittia belongs to the family Moraceae. It is a large tree, reaching a height of about 40 meters and a diameter at breast height of about 1.8 meters. The trunk is round, smooth, and straight. The crown is umbrella-shaped, with four-angled drooping branches and opposite lateral branches. The simple leaves are opposite, large, ovate, with very short petioles. The terminal inflorescence is a panicle, with white flowers. The fruit is a flattened globose capsule with slight ridges, containing tiny seeds. The Mori Babbittia King, with a diameter at breast height of 6 meters, is the largest Babbittia in the region and is called the Babbittia King.
