Every time I hear a nice place name, it will strike a ripple in my heart, just like the way a pebble is tossed into the river.

And I'll think, one day, I must go there, and let the landscape praised by countless people clearly reflected in my eyes.

The Moli Scenic Area locates 20km northeast of Ruili. You can take the bus there. The landscape inside is fantastic. But please slow down your pace a little, because there are many beautiful butterflies along the route. At the end of the scenic area is a gargantuan waterfall. The only drawback is the poor infrastructure there. I went there in October when the weather was still very hot. Therefore, please remember to prepare for heatstroke prevention and I wish you all a happy time.

It features a tropical rainforest which many people haven't seen—this is a very good place. And it is because numerous species of plants rather than the waterfalls there have allured me to travel there many times and I think it is a good place for travel and vacations. It'll be worthy of your time.

The Moli Scenic Area mainly features the landscape of original tropical ravine rainforest vegetation against waterfalls. In it, there are more than thousands of tropical or subtropical plants, including 1,500 species of wild plants and 479 species of flower plants and spice and aromatic plants, all of which together block out sunlight and create a wonderland on earth. Walking through it, people will feel cool breeze and get various floral fragrance carried on their clothes. At the end of the canyon, you will face a gargantuan waterfall pouring down from a cliff 60m above you. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and there is a plot of 10-mu flat ground. From the entrance just several meters, a hot spring pool with clean water in a depth of barely one foot will lie before you.

Moli is also called “Zhaduo”, so this area is called Zhaduo Tropical Rainforest and Moli Waterfalls is also called Zhaduo Waterfalls. Legend has it that, once upon a time, Buddha came here, and then he fasted for practicing Buddhism and took a bath by the hot spring in this area and later left a giant footprint. In memory of the arrival of Buddha himself, later generations call this area “Zhaduo” in Pali language. Today, there is a Buddha monastery here, which is thronged with people during every Buddhist festival.

There are myriads of exotic flowers and plants, as well as peacocks. The vegetation is very luxuriant and the waterfall is spectacular. It is worth a visit. If I'm offered an opportunity, I'd like to visit it again. I stayed in it for a long time and I think it is a good place to clean your lungs. Many scenic areas in Yunnan Province are fantastic and I love Yunnan so much!

In a word, you are offered a dense impression of the rainforest.
